Extra luggage on EasyJet. I just stopped laughing after 5 hilarious minutes.
Ryanair were thinking of banning ALL hold luggage so you had better start world travel with 8kg (that is a Samsonite empty) instead of travelling like a pseudo diva.
Read my TIPS section at http://travel.holidays.com/tips about NOT taking coals to Newcastle and the kitchen sink. They DO sell suncream in Jamaica and you do NOT have to bring a $3 straw mat back home.
Travel light and stay bright.
You are unfair to EasyJet. If you have WANTS on a 1hr flight then you are not organized and the cheap prices are "getable" 2 weeks in advance for Tuesday to Thursday flyers. Flying out on Monday morning and back on Friday night puts you slap bang in the middle of the full priced business flyers - even Tony Blair, the UK Prime Minister flys EasyJet on vacation!
Forget the usual US "2 pieces of luggage". It is 20kgs on the dot or pay and will probably come down to 15kgs. Some cheap companies allow 8kg cabin bags now but not larger ones.
If you can't travel for 4weeks with 8kgs (16lbs) then you really are NOT a world traveller.
A couple from New Zealand are now 85 and 80 and haven't spent a winter anywhere in 25yrs. They only travel with cabin baggage for 3-6 mths at a time, they wash drip dry clothes in the shower every night and have 3 of anything at the most. Also they do NOT take anything that can be purchased at destination and they do not swallow vitamin pills!
